Tech business: Is 5G the biggest trend in 2017?

With consumers hungry for smart devices, network providers are struggling to keep ahead. A game changer in the area of technology is 5G.

This technology will be deployed in 2020, but next year trials of this communication technology will start. One of the direct implications is that many providers are now trying to develop new strategies to be effective and have commercially feasible business models.
As an avid analyst of mobile developments, I’m always keen to understand how mobile marketing can benefit, but let’s look at capabilities for now:
If there is one thing that tech experts have agreed upon is that the ultra-fast 5G will be transformative. This as download speeds can reach 10 gigabits per second. To put that in perspective, 4G is 10000 times slower than what 5G will be.
For example, which was shown at the Brooklyn 5G Summit in New York, that engineers at AT&T reached maximum speeds of 6 Gbps, this at AT&T’s test site in Austin in Texas. That speed means that a 1000GB 4K movie can be downloaded within two and a half minutes.
Still, 5G will have the benefit that it can support one million connected devices over a square kilometre radius. This is as the 4G mobile technology supports only eight transmitters and just four receivers. 5G, on the other hand, will in theory support dozens.
With these type of specs, many that are live streaming movies will have faster connectively and a more reliable network. But there are also some warning that the cost of this supportive network will be more than the current mobile technology.
Big mobile and communications providers such as Sprint, Nokia, Samsung, AT&T, and Ericsson are all taking serious steps to get into the 5G market or at least getting ready for the practical implication of this new mobile technology.
That, even though the technical standard to be used for this technology has still not been agreed upon, only some broad benchmarks.
Rather, if you look at the lack of a standard of this technology, it could just imply that the new spectrum that will be used will be a slightly higher bandwidth services. Still, it is the responsibility of global regulator and governing engineering body, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), that should be defining the speculations of this mobile technology. But the ITU has time until November 2017 to have these specs ready.
Till the ITU has defined the specs of 5G mobile technology, many like chip makers, are experimenting with the standard. Also, the first trails of 5G mobile technology will be done this year and one of the events where it will be tested in at the Winter Olympics in South Korea in February 2018, but also at the FIFA World Cup in Russia in 2018. In fact, this prelude will be to the first fully operational 5G network that will be apparently ready in 2019 by Korea Telecom.
The coverage of 5G mobile technology will be less than the coverage that 4G or even 3G has currently. Therefore, 5G will be more similar to WI-FI technology than cellular technology. This implies that 5G transmitters will be closer to the ground so that some barriers like buildings might negatively affect the signal of the technology.
This is since 5G has a very high frequency that corresponds will low wavelengths, as such these waves will not be able to penetrate buildings or even windows and trees. As such, high traffic areas will be best to create pockets where this technology can be implemented. Therefore, the 5G mobile technology will need weighty investment to overcome this type of limitation. For example, the building and set up a 5G network will around cost $48 billion.
It is these types of shortcomings that might speed up the migration towards 5G from 4G. In addition, 4G will nonetheless develop and advance itself. For example, Sprint working with Ericsson are working on 4GLTE connectively. As such, with operators working on improving 4G 2Gbps speeds, 4G might come in the next few years.

The bottom-line

5G will be a different sort of mobile network and is mentioned that it will be able to provide unprecedented scale, complexity and speed. The end consumer that wants live streaming will benefit, but the cost of installing this complex network will be pricey and the application might be an issue as the technology will work very similar to WI-FI.
But, investors are fully aware that this technology is needed to allow a smart home to function. This is what is connectively needed, allowing different devices to communicate seamlessly with each other to form an intelligence system.

What Is the Importance of Coral Reefs to Marine Life?

Coral reefs are one of the most diverse ecosystems on our planet and provide critical habitats for many species of marine life, including corals themselves. Approximately 25% of the ocean's fish depend on healthy coral reefs. There are over 1900 different types of coral, making it one of the most diverse groups in the animal kingdom. These animals build their homes out of calcium carbonate (limestone). This limestone provides a rigid structure that protects them from predators while providing shelter for many other species. Additionally, healthy coral reefs aren’t just vital for a healthy ocean ecosystem. Still, humans do benefit through being able to sustain subsistence and commercial fisheries, and they ensure the longevity of businesses and jobs through recreation and tourism. Elements of the tropical house design

Malaysia is located in a tropical zone. Its climate is vastly different from countries like the United States and Europe, where most architectural movements and innovations originate. Should foreign architecture designs not be adapted to the Malaysian weather conditions, homes may not be comfortable throughout the year. This may mean paying a high cost to control the temperature within these homes. The traditional Malay house is built on raised pillars, homes being of wood. Knowledge regarding these structures can be incorporated into modern homes that meet the needs of a modern lifestyle. This is important, a tropical house being simply a reaction to its environment. In addition, a tropical house may either be constructed taking a passive approach: unwanted climatic elements such as rain and heat are kept out. At the same time, good elements: ventilation and illumination are increased. An active approach aims to harness some climatic elements for energy, increasing the efficienc...
